Evergreen Stables has been established since 1994, and is located in the Town of Chili. We are about 10 minutes from Chili Center, and 1 mile from the Village of Scottsville.

The owners live on the property so your horses will get the best of care and not be left to fend for themselves during the day. The Barn Manager is a graduate of Cazenovia College with a Stable and Farm Management Degree.

We have 20 acres of land which is on a dead end street, both of which you can ride on, with several small trails on the property.

One of the two 1.5 acre paddocks for the horses to be in during the day.

Evergreen is about 1.5 miles from the Greenway Trail System which is a great place to take a nice trail ride. There are local Parks around the area such as Black Creek Park, Oatka park and Mendon Ponds Park that also allow horseback riding.

At Evergreen Stables we provide riding lessons and full care Horse Boarding. The main barn has 11' x 11' box stalls bedded with shavings and cleaned daily. The newest barn and the indoor arena were built in 1999. Both are bright and airy.

We make sure you horses have blankets or fly masks on during appropriate seasons. Need fly sheets? or fly masks on year round? We can do that. We want your horse to be comfortable.

Horses here at our stables are provided with natural horse care which includes grain and hay three times a day. Instead of the usual two times a day, we split the same amount of grain into three portions instead of just two times. They are provided with hay also during that time.  Supplements can also be given at no extra charge so long as you provide them.
During the day they are turned out, weather permitting, in a group herd with genders being separated into different pastures. They can interact with each other over the fence, but only if they choose to. They will be provided more hay, individual flakes, not round bales, or grass depending on the time of year.

Horses are dewormed about every four months at no extra charge.
We pride ourselves on having a quiet family run stable that will make sure your horse's welfare is thought of first. You will not have to worry about being crowded out of the arena.

As long as you own a horse, we don't care what you ride, English, western, dressage, etc. We accept any discipline. Sorry our only exception is stallions. We do not have the extra space and care needed for any.

Please call or e-mail for more information on Boarding and Availability. As of November 2011, we are full. Call to make sure, we may have an opening in the future!

We can also accommodate vacation boarders. Going away for a few days, week, few weeks, but not a month? That's ok. We'll take in your horse for that time period, feed it according to your schedule and take care of all of it's needs. We can even keep up it's exercise if needed. Call or e-mail and we can talk more.

If you need a place to rest between stops we may be able to accommodate you and your horse if we have space in the barn, or stay outside in one of our pastures. We are located near I-90, both the 490, Leroy exit and the 390, Lehigh Station Exit.  Feel free to give us a call if you just need to rest for the night or for a few hours.

We have a heated, secure Tack Room for all your equipment. Most importantly we have a new innovative Indoor Arena 72' X 120', built in 1999. It is a "Cover All" building which looks much like a greenhouse, and never needs lights on in the daylight hours. In the winter it gets about 10 degrees warmer than most other non-heated riding arenas. It is a very bright building, even at night there are NO Dark Areas for your horse to spook at. Come check it out.

We have a few outdoor arenas that you may use as well. Front outdoor grass ring is 70' x 200', a 80' x 150' grass ring, and an 80' grass round pen and two acre outdoor paddocks you may ride in as well or you can ride anywhere on our property. We even have a few cut trails around the property.

We also have a new addition to the property. A 20' x 20' square recovery pasture. If your horse needs to rest but you would still like him/her to get out, they can be put in a small pasture that is adjacent to another pasture. There they will be provided hay and water and company next to them if you wish.

Please Visit Us!! All you need to do is call or look up the directions below.  We will be happy to show you around.
