Meet Our Lesson Horses

We mainly have just Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosa horses. We do lease horses from the owners for lessons on occasion.

Foolish Policy "Ghost"	Thoroughbred	20, Grey, 16H	Advanced Beginner walk, trot, canter. Does up to 2'3"ft verticals easily.	Good horse for English riding and showing. We lease him from the owner and use him for upper level lesson students.
Cutter's Midnight Shadow "Cutter"	Quarter Horse/Morgan Cross	19, Black, 14.1H	A really nice general beginner horse for English and western, though still stubborn sometimes due to being a pony. He drives too.	Cutter loves people, so just pay any attention to him and he's happy. He goes mainly western, though he will ride English and does drive too. GREAT trail horse. Anyone can ride him on the trail.
Jack Be Tuff Too "Jack"	AQHA (American Quarter Horse)	27, Chestnut, 16H	Advanced walk trot, Beginner and Advanced jumper Advanced Western Horse	Jack has also been here a long time. He's a wonderful jumper, and fun if you want a challenge. He'll jump most anything without looking.
Good As Gold "Gold"	Appaloosa	22, Palomino, 15.1H	All Round beginner or advanced, flat, jumper and Western.	He's one of the best horses for whatever you want to do. He's easy to ride, but a bit of a challenge to tack up.
Sun Dance "Sunny"	Appaloosa	11 yrs, Strawberry Roan, 15.3 H	Western And English, green horse. Is getting more training.	Overall very friendly horse and I believe one of the smartest horses ever. He's coming along nicely and will be in more advanced lessons for now.
Tis A Lil Rosemary "Rose"	Quarter Horse/Paint	11, Sorrel, 15.2H	Advanced Beginner walk, trot, canter. Does up to 2'3"ft verticals easily. Goes western too and has a nice jog.	We've had Rose all her life. She is a good Advanced beginner -Intermediate lesson horse who will jump anything we have here.
Wasioja Happy "Happy"	Tobiano Paint APHA	11, black and white, 14.2H	Beginner and more, walk, trot and canter. Does Crossrails with ease and starting small verticals.	She is a nice safe horse to ride. Anyone can ride her. Has learned that jumping is a lot of fun!
"Cash"	Quarter Horse Cross	23, Palomino, and 15.1 H	Beginner western and english horse. Will put up a fuss if he feels like it.	He's a pretty good horse. Not too fast, not too bouncy. Is a good beginner horse as well as more advanced.
Inmate "Mac"	Thoroughbred	12, Bay, 16.H	In training, Advanced beginner horse. Walk-trot	Just re-starting his life as a pleasure riding horse. Doesn't do much right now, but we use him on occasion for lessons
Dee Zip Zipper "Strider"	Thoroughbred	16, Bay, 16.3 H	Nice over all Advanced Beginner horse plus more advanced higher fences as well. Started western training.	New to us, but very quiet easy going guy. We will know more as we get him used to us.
Sonny Diamond Sage "Sage"	Tobiano Paint APHA	5 years old Cremello and white 15H	"Green" horse. Walk trots and canters very fast. Working on control and started small jumps.	He's being ridden more often, ring and trails. Has also gone to shows for a few years and was ridden in his first riding show summer '10. Got a 3rd place in 2011 show.
Ben	QH/Morgan	9 years old, Bay, 15.2H	Brand new to us, and is in training to be one awesome lesson horse.	Bought right before Feb. Might start more advanced lessons soon.
Tezs Little Nutmeg "Nutmeg"	AQHA	17, Chestnut, 14.3H	RIP 1-11-12	We've had Nutmeg for 10 yrs as well. She's the mommy of Rose.
Royal Pride "Roy"	Appaloosa	32, Spotted Bay, 15H	RIP 4-8-11	We've had Roy for 10 yrs. He's really a nice trail horse, walk trotter, and Western horse. Everyone rode Roy. Best horse EVER. He was put down due to cancer.
Baron Von Blixen "Grizzly"	Thoroughbred	20, Bay, 16H	RIP 8-24-10	Well trained in Dressage, and he was a good horse for beginners to learn on. He also went to shows and is great for most anyone to ride. He was put down due to old age complications.
"Abbey"	Grade/Cross	24, Grey, 14.3H	RIP 1-10-08	Wonderful Trail horse. Loved Western, just a bit stubborn sometimes. Loved to gallop! Put down due to Cushings Health complications.
Diamond Fooler "Diamond"	AQHA (American Quarter Horse)	23, Sorrel, 15.2H	RIP 9-14-07	We've had Diamond for a very long time. He was a very reliable and safe horse. He was retired before being put down due to old age health complications. We miss him.
